Subscriptions, plans, and boosts
Who this is for: All members — Aspirants, Recruiters, and Service Providers What you'll learn: What a subscription plan unlocks, how to change your plan, what the grace period is, what boosts are and how to buy them, how payment works, and how to view your billing history.
Overview
Cine Talent India operates on a subscription model. A subscription plan gives you access to platform features for a set period of time. Different plans unlock different levels of features — such as appearing in search results, the amount of file storage available, how many job applications you can submit, and more.
In addition to plans, you can buy boosts — short-term add-ons that extend or unlock a specific feature without changing your main plan.
What a subscription plan unlocks
Depending on your profile type and the plan you are on, your subscription may cover some or all of the following:
- Search visibility — whether your profile appears when others search on the platform.
- File storage — how much space you have in My Drive for private files.
- Job applications — how many jobs you can apply for in a given period.
- Showcase quota — how many items you can display on your public Showcase.
- Messaging — your ability to initiate messages with other members.
- Other features — additional capabilities specific to your profile type.
Your current entitlements (what your plan gives you) are shown on the Billing page in your workspace.
How to view your current plan
- Go to your workspace and select Billing from the sidebar.
- Your current active plan and its status are shown at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to see a breakdown of your entitlements — the features your plan includes and how much of each you have used.
How to change or upgrade your plan
- On the Billing page, tap Upgrade (or Change plan).
- The plan selection page opens, showing the plans available for your profile type.
- Select the plan you want.
- Review the details and proceed to payment.
- Once payment is confirmed, your new plan activates.
What is the grace period?
If your subscription expires and you do not renew it, you enter a grace period. During the grace period:
- You keep access to your plan features for a short additional time.
- A banner on your billing page shows how long the grace period lasts.
- After the grace period ends, your features reduce to the basic level — you can still log in and access your workspace, but certain features (such as appearing in search or uploading large files) may be restricted.
Renewing your subscription at any point — during or after the grace period — restores your full feature access.
What are boosts?
Boosts are optional, one-off purchases that give you a specific extra feature for a limited time. They sit alongside your main subscription plan rather than replacing it.
Examples of what a boost might let you do:
- Apply while your profile is private — normally you need your profile to be publicly visible to apply for jobs. The "apply while private" boost lets you apply even when your profile is not searchable, for a specific period tied to your current subscription.
Boosts are listed in the Boosts section on your Billing page. You can see which boosts are available to you and purchase them there.
When you buy a boost, it activates immediately. The boost lasts for the duration described on the purchase screen.
How payment works
All payments on CTI are processed securely through Razorpay, a trusted payment gateway. You can pay by card or UPI. CTI does not store your card details — all payment information is handled by Razorpay directly.
After a successful payment, you receive a confirmation on screen and the new plan or boost activates immediately.
How to view your billing history
- Go to Billing in your workspace.
- Scroll to the Billing history (or Transactions) section.
- All your past payments are listed with dates and amounts.
- You can page through older transactions if you have a long history.
Common questions
What happens to my profile if my plan lapses? Your profile, files, and data are kept safely. You will not lose anything. However, some features — such as appearing in search — will be paused until you renew. Your profile will be visible again as soon as you have an active plan.
Can I downgrade my plan? You can change your plan at any time from the Billing page. The available options depend on your profile type.
What is the difference between a plan and a boost? A plan is your main ongoing subscription. It determines your general feature level. A boost is a small, one-off add-on for a specific feature, purchased separately on top of your plan.
Are boosts refundable? For questions about refunds, contact CTI support. Boosts are generally non-refundable once activated, but support can assist with exceptional cases.
I paid but my plan did not update. What should I do? Refresh the page first — sometimes activation takes a moment. If your plan still has not updated after a minute or two, contact support with your payment confirmation details.
Can I have more than one active subscription at the same time? You can have your main profile subscription and one or more boosts active simultaneously. Multiple overlapping main subscriptions are not typically available.
