Editing and managing your profile
Who this is for: All members — Aspirants, Recruiters, and Service Providers What you'll learn: How to edit each section of your profile, what sections are available for your profile type, how your profile photo and hero image work, and the difference between your public profile and your private workspace.
Overview
Your profile is your public-facing page on Cine Talent India. It is the information that other members — recruiters, aspirants, and collaborators — see when they search for or visit your profile. Your workspace is your private area where you manage your profile, files, messages, and billing. Only you can access your workspace.
How to edit your profile
Your profile is divided into sections. Each section has its own edit button (a pencil icon) so you can update one part of your profile without changing anything else.
- Go to your workspace and select Profile from the sidebar.
- Your profile page loads showing all your current information.
- Find the section you want to update and tap the pencil (edit) icon next to it.
- Make your changes in the form that appears.
- Tap Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them.
- The section refreshes immediately to show your updated information.
Only one section can be in edit mode at a time. If you tap a different section's pencil while another is open, you will be prompted to save or discard your current changes first.

Your profile photo and hero image
Profile photo: Your profile photo appears on your profile header card and next to your name throughout the platform. To update it, tap the pencil icon on your profile header section.
Hero image (Aspirants): The hero image is a large banner displayed across the top of your public profile. It creates a strong visual first impression. To add or change your hero image, tap the pencil icon in the hero image area at the top of your profile. You can keep your existing hero image or upload a new one when editing.
Your public profile vs your private workspace
| Public profile | Your workspace | |
|---|---|---|
| Visible to | Other CTI members and visitors | Only you |
| Contains | Your bio, sections, gallery, and showcase | Your Drive, messages, billing, settings, and saved profiles |
| Editable from | The Profile page in your workspace | Various pages in your workspace |
When your profile is set to visible in search, other members can find and view your public profile. You control this from Settings in your workspace. Hiding your profile from search does not delete your profile — your information stays saved and you can make it visible again at any time.
What fields affect your visibility in search
Being visible in search depends on two things:
- Your search visibility toggle is turned on (see Settings).
- Your profile is sufficiently complete. The platform checks whether key sections are filled in. If your profile is incomplete, a banner on your profile page will highlight what is missing and needs to be added before you appear in search results.
What happens next
Changes you save appear immediately on your profile. If you have updated information that affects your completeness (such as adding a required section), the completeness banner on your profile updates straight away too.
Common questions
Can I edit my profile type (Aspirant / Recruiter / Service Provider)? No. Your profile type is set when you create your profile. If you need a different profile type, you can create an additional profile from the profile switcher at the top of your workspace.
Why can I not see some sections? Some sections are specific to your profile type or your role. For example, the Appearance section is only shown for Aspirants with certain roles such as Actor or Model. If a section is not visible, it may not apply to your profile type.
My changes are not showing on my public profile. What should I do? Saved changes should appear immediately. If you are not seeing them, try refreshing the page. If the problem continues, check that you tapped Save (not Cancel) after editing.
Can recruiters see everything on my profile? Recruiters can see the information you have added to your public profile sections, your gallery, and your showcase. Your Drive, messages, billing, and settings are always private.
How do I make my profile appear in search? Go to Settings in your workspace and turn on Show my profile in search. You also need your profile to be sufficiently complete.
