Who this is for: All members What you'll learn: Where to find CTI's legal documents, what you consent to when you sign up, what data CTI holds about you, and how to request changes or deletion.
Overview
Cine Talent India operates under a set of legal documents — Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and related policies — that govern how you may use the platform and how your data is handled. These documents are publicly available and you agree to them as part of creating an account.
Where to read the legal documents
All legal documents are accessible from the platform without needing to be logged in. Look for the Legal section in the site footer, or navigate directly to the legal page. From there you can read:
- Terms & Conditions — The rules for using CTI: what you can and cannot do, who is responsible for what, and the governing law.
- Privacy Policy — What personal data CTI collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept.
- Refund & Cancellation Policy — The terms around subscription payments and refunds.
- Pricing — The current plan pricing and what each plan includes.
- Content Guidelines — The standards for content posted on the platform (profiles, jobs, media, messages).
- Data Retention — How long CTI keeps different types of data.
- Disclaimer — Limitations on CTI's liability and the platform's intermediary role.
- Grievance Redressal — How to file a formal complaint under applicable law, and the contact details for CTI's Grievance Officer.
- Contact — How to reach the CTI team.
The consent step when you first log in
When you create an account or log in for the first time after a policy update, you will see a Review & Accept screen. This screen summarises the current Terms and Privacy Policy and asks you to confirm that you have read and agree to them. You must accept to proceed. This is a legal requirement and cannot be skipped.
If CTI updates its policies in a material way, you may be prompted to review and accept the updated terms the next time you log in.
What data CTI holds about you
When you use CTI, the platform may hold:
- Account information — your email address, the date you registered, and your authentication details (managed securely).
- Profile information — everything you add to your profile: name, photos, bio, skills, showcase media, documents, and role details.
- Activity data — your applications, associations, invitations, and messages on the platform.
- Files — media and documents you upload to My Drive and your showcase.
- Billing information — your subscription plan, payment history, and transaction records (payment card details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by CTI directly).
- Usage and log data — technical information such as login times, used for security and platform improvement.
For the full and legally authoritative description of what is collected and why, read the Privacy Policy linked from the Legal page.
How to request changes or deletion
If you want to:
- Update personal information — edit your profile directly from your workspace.
- Request deletion of your account and data — contact CTI using the details on the Contact page within the Legal section. Include your registered email address and a description of your request.
- Ask about data CTI holds on you — submit a data inquiry via the Contact or Grievance pages.
CTI will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Note that some data may be retained for a period after deletion for legal compliance or dispute resolution purposes, as set out in the Data Retention policy.
Content moderation
Your posts, media, profile content, jobs, and events may be reviewed by CTI's moderation team to ensure they comply with the Content Guidelines and Terms of Service. See Content moderation and reporting for more information about how this works.
Common questions
Do I have to accept the Terms to use CTI? Yes. Accepting the Terms and Privacy Policy is a condition of using the platform. You cannot create a profile or access member features without accepting.
What happens if the Terms change? You will be prompted to review and accept the updated terms the next time you log in. A summary of significant changes may be provided on a dedicated announcements page.
Can CTI share my data with third parties? CTI may share data with service providers who operate on its behalf (e.g. payment processors, email delivery). The Privacy Policy details all third-party sharing. CTI does not sell your personal data.
How do I raise a formal complaint? Visit the Grievance Redressal page in the Legal section. This provides the name and contact details of the Grievance Officer under Indian IT Act requirements.
I am a minor — can I use CTI? The platform has specific rules about minors. If you are under 18, your account must be linked to a Guardian who accepts terms on your behalf. See the Terms & Conditions and the Guardian feature for details.
