Exploring and searching on CTI
Who this is for: All members — Aspirants, Recruiters, and Service Providers What you'll learn: How to browse and filter profiles, jobs, events, and marketplace listings, and what you can see as a logged-in member versus a visitor.
Overview
The Explore section is where you discover what is happening on the platform. From here you can search for talent and crew profiles, browse open job postings, find events, and visit the Marketplace. Explore is available to all logged-in members. The depth of detail you see on any individual item depends on your plan and profile type.
Finding profiles
Use Search → Profiles to discover Aspirants and other members.
- Open Explore from the sidebar, then select Search and choose Profiles.
- You will see a list of searchable profiles. Use the filters to narrow results:
- Role — the broad category of talent you are looking for (e.g. actor, director, makeup artist).
- Sub-role — a more specific specialisation within a role (appears once a role is selected).
- Display ID — if you already know someone's Display ID, type it here to go straight to their profile.
- Name — search by the person's name.
- Gender — filter by gender.
- State — filter by the state where the person is based.
- Language — filter by the language they work in.
- Age range — drag the slider to set a minimum and maximum age.
- Height range — drag the slider to set a height range in centimetres.
- Tap Search to apply the filters. Results update to match.
- Tap any card to open that person's profile page.
Only profiles that are marked as searchable appear in results. A profile that is complete but set to private will not appear here.
Finding jobs
Use Search → Jobs to browse open job postings.
- From Explore, select Search and choose Jobs.
- Filter results by:
- Name — job title or keyword.
- Gender preference — the gender the recruiter prefers for the role.
- State — where the job is based.
- Language — the language of the production.
- Category — the type of role or department.
- Experience range — years of experience required.
- Paid only — toggle this on to show only paid opportunities.
- Tap a job card to read the full posting, including role description, requirements, and how to apply.
Finding events
Use Search → Events to discover events you might want to attend or apply to.
- From Explore, select Search and choose Events.
- Browse or apply filters to narrow by name, location, or date.
- Tap an event card to see its full details, gallery, and how to register or apply.
Finding Service Providers
Use Search → Service Providers to find studios, equipment suppliers, makeup artists, costume designers, and more.
- From Explore, select Search and choose Service Providers.
- Filter by category (e.g. studio rental, equipment hire, post-production).
- Tap a listing to visit that provider's profile or Marketplace page.
Viewing someone's profile or posting
When you tap any profile, job, or event card, you open a detail page. This page shows you the full information the owner has made public — photos, showcase content, role descriptions, and contact or application options.
From a profile's detail page you can:
- View their showcase (videos and portfolio).
- See which roles and skills they have listed.
- Apply to any open role they are involved in (if applicable).
What you can see when not logged in
Some pages on CTI are publicly accessible even without an account. A person's public profile can be visited directly using their Display ID link. However, to browse Search, view full job postings, apply to roles, or contact a Service Provider, you must be logged in with an active profile.
Common questions
Why isn't a profile appearing in search results? Only searchable profiles appear. If someone has set their profile to private, or if their profile is not yet complete, it will not show up. If you know their Display ID, you can visit their public profile directly.
Can I save or bookmark a profile? There is no built-in bookmark feature. You can note down someone's Display ID to find them again quickly.
Can I search for profiles I have already viewed? Not directly. Use the search filters or the person's Display ID to return to a profile.
Can a recruiter see my profile in search even if I have not applied to their job? Yes. If your profile is searchable, any logged-in recruiter can find it in the Profiles search.
Why do some job listings show as greyed out or unclickable? A job may have closed, reached capacity, or been put on hold. Try refreshing the page. If the posting is still greyed out, it is no longer accepting applications.
