The Marketplace
Who this is for: All members — Aspirants, Recruiters, and Service Providers What you'll learn: What the Marketplace is, how to find listings, what you see on a listing page, and how to get in touch with a provider.
Overview
The Marketplace is where Service Providers on CTI list their products and services for the film and entertainment industry. If you are looking for a studio to hire, equipment to rent, a makeup artist, a costume supplier, or post-production support, the Marketplace is the place to start. All members can browse the Marketplace once they are logged in.
What you will find in the Marketplace
The Marketplace brings together two kinds of listings:
| Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Products | Equipment for hire, costumes, props, materials |
| Services | Studio rental, makeup artistry, hair styling, post-production editing, catering |
Listings are grouped into categories such as:
- Studio rental
- Equipment hire
- Makeup and hair
- Costumes and wardrobe
- Post-production
- Catering and locations
- and more
How to browse the Marketplace
- From the sidebar, go to Explore and then select Marketplace.
- The Marketplace shows a grid of available listings. You can:
- Filter by type — switch between viewing All, Products only, or Services only.
- Filter by category — select a category (e.g. Studio Rental, Equipment) to narrow the listings.
- Search by keyword — type a word into the search bar to find listings by name, description, or tag.
- Scroll through the results. Each card shows the listing's name, a short description, the provider's name, and a price or rate if the provider has listed one.
What is on a listing page
Tap any listing card to open the full detail page. You will see:
- Title and description — what the product or service is and what is included.
- Category and tags — helping you confirm it fits what you need.
- Price or rate — the listed price in INR, along with any unit (e.g. per day, per hour). Note that some providers list a price on request.
- Response time — how quickly the provider typically gets back to enquiries.
- Photos and media — images or videos of the product or service.
- Provider details — the Service Provider's name and profile information.
How to enquire about a listing
- On the listing detail page, tap the Contact or Enquire button.
- A form or dialogue opens where you can write your message to the provider.
- Submit your message. The provider will be notified and can reply through the platform's messaging system.
There is no automated booking system — all arrangements (dates, pricing, deposits) are agreed directly between you and the provider.
For Service Providers: getting your listings into the Marketplace
If you have a Service Provider profile, your Marketplace presence is built through your Catalogue. You add and manage your products and services in your workspace under Catalogue. Once added, they appear in the Marketplace for other members to find.
See Managing your catalogue (Service Providers) for step-by-step instructions.
Common questions
Do I need an account to browse the Marketplace? Yes. You need to be logged in with an active profile to browse the Marketplace.
Can I hire or book directly through the platform? The platform connects you with the provider via enquiry. Bookings, payments, and agreements are handled directly between you and the service provider — CTI does not process payments for Marketplace transactions.
Are the listings vetted by CTI? Service Provider profiles go through the CTI verification process, but the content of individual product and service listings is the provider's responsibility. Always review listings carefully and communicate clearly before committing.
Can I leave a review for a provider? Review and rating features are available on the platform. Check the listing page for any review section.
A listing looks outdated — what should I do? Contact the provider directly through the enquiry button. If you believe a listing is misleading or violates platform policies, use the Report option.
I am a Service Provider but my listings are not showing — why? Your listings need to be added and published through your Catalogue in your workspace. Check that each listing is saved and active. See Managing your catalogue for help.
